Morning all,
I am wondering about the Adidas bats. The stickers look nice and the profiles look good enough, but I think they are quite overpriced surely, at a RRP of £365 for the Pellara Elite and an RRP of £337 (anyone explain that? Why's it lower?!) for the 2011 Libro Elite.
Do you reckon that Adidas bats would be worth the money for someone who is strolling into a bat shop with a view to buying a big brand bat...? Ie. if they went and took a random Club bat, would it still be fairly decent? I ask this for 2 reasons:
1. Because there is nothing in the Adidas Section :)
2. I have been knocking in a Pellara Club for a mate over the past week. He bought it instead of my Lekka which I know is special, and only for £20 less.

Proof of the pudding with the Adidas was he said it felt 'dead', and when he picked up my Lekka which is a 2.10, he thought it was LIGHTER than his 2.7 Adidas :D :o
So atm, my views of adidas aren't that great...the club has been very hard to knock in, needed to brutalise it with the mallet last night to get some life into it!

Any opinions welcomed!

I have only seen a club mates and it looks nice with grains etc but not much wood in it and nit very responsive but I'm sure there are some gems in there as with all brands but I would not buy one

The pellera is there top model so more expensive

This one looks pretty ugly, but because of the lower grading, I sort of expected that. Decent profile and OK pick-up IMO though..I have some pics of pre and post knocking in(will put them in later), he edged quite a few last week so I am putting some tape on the edges, and some precautionary tape on the toe.. :) -
I guess that makes sense with the Pellara, not sure what makes it ever so special, but there must be a reason I guess.
What model and grade was your club-mates...?
I have heard all sorts about Adidas, even that KP uses an Incurza with Pellara stickers on it..I was thinking about getting one for this year, before I found Cricket Bat Forums, thank god!! :D

It's a pellara that sells for £180 but he got it for £120 will see when I see him at nets on wed
